1st day of lecture session: The RUS104-Studio

This is the first lecture session we had with our lecturer. During the morning, after we took a seat and when the lectures starts, our first studio begins =).

Our lecturer gave us a briefing on our courses, on the importance of the role of our career in ensuring the structure constructed did not collapsed and endanger the residence life. From this short briefing, i felt a sense of responsibility of an Architect. Our job is not only providing a comfort living place, but also a safe shelter which brings no worries to our resident. This is a matter that should not be overlook.

After that, we had been divided to our own groups with our own lecturer that guide us for our studio course throughout the semester. My group is the third group, with Dr. Mohd. Hafizal Mohd Isa as our lecturer. But then, the challenges comes.

We are required to buy our drawing tools, sketchbook and other necessary things for our studio lecture and projects before our studio lecture starts. Unfortunately, it is raining during the time. Together with other HBP friends, we fought with the strong wind and rains to reach the shop which is located at Sungai Dua. It is a special experience I would say, as we made our first step in challenging our limits.

And here comes our studio! The first lesson, we are given coursework of self portrait, designing a logo to show our unique characteristic and also a visual blog, which is why I'm here, writing this =)
Then, we are given a lesson on technical writing. We are introduced the technical letters which is very important as, if we did not write it clearly, the engineers might misunderstood the detailing, and might endanger the residence. The structure might collapse with a small mistakes!
"I'M AN ARCHITECT AND MY HANDWRITING SUCKS!"
This is what we required to do throughout the lesson, practicing to write this sentence with technical letters. With the help of lecturer and constant practice, I think I would be able to write it more 'professionally" haha.

So.. our first lesson ends here. =) Thanks for reading xD
